Well, the alternative is to offer far less screenings without gofobo. Can't really apply a general rule here. It depends on the film and of course how many passes gofobo issues on our unique code.

gotcha...so rule of thumb is...if txtmovieclub.com offers a movie in conjunction with GoFoBo, count on NOT getting in unless you are in front of your computer and the text comes in on time. But if it's a TRUE Txt pass...then it's safer to get a ticket. Is that about it? I'm now SO curious why you partner with Gofobo when so many of your members lose out on that system. Or do I have it wrong. I'm just a curious girl.

I understand. It's frustrating missing out on passes. I'm not sure what more I can tell you. Passes almost always sell-out within a minute or two that we release the code via text message. Or at least that is what I am told. Unfortunately, I do not have access to gofobo's system .They allot tMC passes and assign an exclusive code. Beyond that, it's their show.

Yes I know Mark but normally when I get a pass I go to the theatre during my lunch hour to trade the pass in for a ticket, which usually assure me of the ticket. As the organizer for Tucson Movie Meetup, it's important for me to tell my members the entire situation so they know how to plan their weeks. I have Verizon, and seriously, I went to Gofobo within 2 minutes of receiving my text, and it was sold out. It seems to me that even if 5 minutes went by, people still should have been able to get passes. After all txtmovie club is the only listed sponsor for Wed evening on GoFoBo. I know they have another screening on Thursday, but I couldn't attend that one. I'm not upset, I just want to understand.

As you know Kalyn, counting on any promotional screening passes is difficult. Even with passes in hand, you can still be turned away at the theatre.

Mark...can you tell us what time you sent the text? I'm just curious. I guess the lesson is don't count on passes if it's a GoFoBo movie? LOL...believe it or not, everyone does NOT live in front of their computer.

For members that did not receive gofobo passes.

Even though it may appear to be a minute or two, there can sometimes be latency issues with the carriers. In some cases, we can submit a message to a carrier, and they can "sit" on it for a few minutes. We're not quite sure why this happens on some people's account's and not on others. We have seen some members carriers take up to 5 minutes to deliver a message. This, unfortunately, is something out of our control.

Wish you better luck on future screenings.

Okay Mark...this is insane....I went to GOFOBO literally within less than 2 minutes after receiving my text tonight and ALL the passes were gone. How many did you get?
