Another problem, I've not seen mentioned. GoFoBo code are sent out to TxtMC members approx 24 hours in advance, so that is about 5 to 7 PM the day prior. However, I was in line for a screening of Letters to Juliet in N. Phx at that time, so I wouldn't have been able to log onto GoFoBo till 10 PM that evening. Some people may have a cell phone that allows web page surfing, but not me, and frequently at these screening they are saying no cell phones, so if one did have such a phone, it might be out in the vehicle.

BTW, I also notice what while you ask people who have RSVP'ed and can no longer attend, to cancel their RSVP. But after the movie fills up, the ability to cancel your RSVP also goes away.

Is there a way to look at these movies (& Comment Walls) after the day of the movie? Otherwise, we can't look here tomorrow to see what results of that phone call was with GoFoBo.

these pass-codes are aimed specifically for txtmc members. i can tell becuase the codes always start out as txtmc****

so these are codes given to specifically the txtmc therefore there is no outside source stealing the codes.


the problem i see, and this is only hypothetical.
Gofobo has 100 passes to a movie.
they have several venues to give out their pass-codes. Therefore they make sure they are being used. And there are many different codes being made.
But.... they do not specify which codes are more important.

txtmc may be approved to have 35 passes given out from gofobo, but the pass-codes txtmc will use may not be priority becuase they have already filled the 100 seats.

i think you must propose a solution which amounts to this.
out of that 100 seats available. gofobo must allow 35 of those seats be reserved specifically for txtmc. therefore their enormous amount of pass-codes will only take up 65 slots instead of all 100 slots and thus depriving us txtmc members a chance to use our pass-codes.

it is no-ones fault in particular becuase no one knows who and when someone may enter a code or if anyone would attend. the problem remains that txtmc believes their seats are safe, when they are actually just up in the air and are mixed around with all the other traffic on the street.

I understand what you are saying. And believe me, it amazes me how fast passes are scooped up. It's sort of a tough position for us. Asking for proof is kinda like biting the hand that feeds.

Good news is I have a scheduled call with gofobo tomorrow where we will discuss several topics all aimed at providing a much better experience for tMC members.

Mark, someone at gofobo has got to be lying to you. Like I said in the post below, I was actually on the gofobo page when the text came in. Even though I entered the code wrong the first time and had to re-enter it there is no way (with only 59 people attending) that 35 got there before I did. If I were you I would ask gofobo to show some proof that 35 people used the code you sent out to get tickets...

I was actually on the gofobo page when I got the text. Unfortunately I typed the code in wrong the first time and by the time I re-entered it I was too late. The first time I bet I entered it within 15 seconds of getting the text, the second time had to have been within 30 seconds. I don't see how 35 people got there before me...

Same here! Its crazy how fast they go! The code must only be good for a couple of passes or something.

I confirmed today that tMC had 35 admit 2 passes alloted to our code. Originally we were hoping for 50, but unfortunately they went to other promo partners.

Some bad luck my friend. Was rooting for ya to scoop a pair up.

Like yesterday's screening I entered the code at gofobo within 30 seconds of receiving it and, again, I got a message saying all passes were gone. Still VERY FRUSTRATING!!!
