Text message invites to special advance movie screenings

Harkins Tempe Marketplace Screenings

Just want to state that there is way too many movies screenings at Harkins Tempe Marketplace which a bit far for me. I'm aware there are some screenings in the Northeast area but most of the screening seems to be at Harkins Tempe Marketplace . Anybody else think so ? Is this normal ?

Sadly, we have no say where the studios decide to hold their screenings. :( It's far for me, too, but I love to attend. Getting to know as many members as possible, makes the distance to get there and the time spent waiting, worth it... and a lot more fun!

Personally I like the Tempe Marketplace showings because that's the only theater I can feasibly get to (excluding the rare showings at The Mills or even rarer, Cinemark). I haven't been to a screening in months simply because there haven't been any screenings in Tempe lately. So they can't please everyone all of the time. And it does kind of suck, because I'd love to see Defiance, but I can't get out to that theater. But hey, it's free movies, before anyone else ever sees them. I guess that can be the booby prize.

Shari is correct, tMC does not have any control over where the movies are screened. We'd like to offer more variety but it is out of our control. Now maybe if we had 10k members in Phoenix, this could change :)

There a lot of screenings at harkins 101 also, but I do agree there are a lot at tempe market place, which is far away from me also. I wonder how the theater gets picked. I am sure there is some reason that one theater is picked over another.

Look at the area it is in, down the street from ASU, near Mill Ave, etc...

No offense (yes offense) to all the older people here, but the majority of older people are not willing to stand in line to see these new dumb movies that are coming out all the time, younger people are.

The studios job is to fill the place, and get positive feedback (No matter how much they suck ass (Deathrace/Transporter 3)).
