I am a huge fan of zombie movies. So most of my favorites are zombie movies. In no particular order:

Zombieland

Shaun of the Dead

Fido

28 Days Later

Sunshine

Dawn of the Dead

Ringu 1 & 2 (Japanese)

Orpahnage (Spanish)

Tale of Two Sisters (Korean)

Hellraiser

Silence of the Lambs

Red Dragon

 

Some of those may not be typical horror... But I love them just the same.

I have Fido, have yet to see it.  Still have not seen Sunshine.  Tale of Two Sisters??  Have not heard of.  The rest are good, of course.  How can you go wrong with zombies?

What would be the difference between a scary movie and a thriller?  Because I wanted to list a couple of Hitchcock movies (like for example, Psycho)...

I agree.

 

Sunshine btw is Danny Boyle's sci-fi horror. Which you can't go wrong with. Fido is fun. Tale of Two Sisters is one of the best horror movies ever with an amazing ending.
