What would you do?

Tonight we went to buy some tennis shoes for my wife and I. we also got some misc. other stuff. we checked out and thought we got a great deal, Upon further inspection as we got to our car we discovered that one pair of tennis shoes had not been rung up. What would you do? On any other given day I probably would have driven off, but just then thought about our long trip the next day, didn't want any bad Karma, so I went back in and paid for the shoes...

I found 5 $20 bills on the road in front of a drive-thru ATM a few years ago. I noticed the lady ahead of me had stopped her car. I scooped up the cash and ran to her passenger window flashing the cash. Think at first she was startled then once she rolled down the window I was able to explain I found it. She checked her receipt and said it wasn't hers.

The bank was across the street from my work at the time. I went in the next day and spoke to the bank manager. She took the cash and my name and thanked me. I never heard back about the money, but 2 months later I received a call from the Coyotes prize department. I had won a brand new Sony HDTV from some enter to win contest I entered by fluke at a Coyotes game months prior. At the time, the TV was $2295 at Best Buy.

So ya, I'm a big believer of Karma, and of the old saying what goes around comes around.

Great story. I believe in Karma. Have seen too many examples of it hitting right away toward the negative, so you want the good comin' toward ya, that's for sure. Looks like in this case, you got it. That's awesome.

I had a situation where many many many many years ago, my manager lost $100.00 of his own money at work. While closing the store that night, I found it, of all places, in the garbage can. My employee was trying to get me to keep it and split it with him. My upbringing would never have allowed me to do that in a million years!! I left it in the safe that night with a note letting him know where I found it and that he owed me lunch.

My personal rule about stuff like that is if the amount of money that I didn't pay is over a dollar, the I go back. But if I drive away and realize that I still have the quarter in my pocket that I was supposed to pay, then I won't. I also believe in Karma, and really don't need any of the bad kind, lol.
