ONE pair of tix.... who wants 'em? Put your name in the hat here:
Thank you for that message. I think it's sad when winners don't go for those reasons and others but I'll refrain from saying them. Boooooring. ;-)
They have never carded me for a fathom event pass at cinemark, whether from a contest or not. The contest ones don't scan on their computers though, since the manager will pre-print them, so I generally just tell them to tell their manager about it. I did have trouble getting in today though, but not for that reason. Apparently, someone had told them they were going to exchange their passes for something else. IDK Who and I don't think they did either, but I had to wait about 20 minutes for the manager to sort that out and give us our passes and then I had to rush to get our stuff before the movie started, luckily there was pre-movie stuff so I didn't miss any of the actual movie. I know TMC isn't the only one giving out these special screening passes, so I say this lightly here, but I really think it's rude when people don't show up to these special event contest screening, especially the ones at the Cinemark, due to their assigned seating. At the opera, the row that I was in, was reserved for contest winners and remained empty minus four people, two were me, and two were (I'm guessing) because another couple took Jeff's seats after he moved. Granted the other people who were assigned to that row could have moved seats too, but I am 100% sure they didn't because: the theater was packed, the row remained empty minus us four throughout the screening, the theater kept telling people only the first row was available, and people asked me during intermission if anyone was in those seats. I really felt bad for the elderly people in the front row. I get that there were mishaps with the opera screening that might have caused people to miss the screening, such as the passes we were e-mailed not having the correct time on them (Opera started at 9:55am, tickets said 10:55am) and people might not have known about the theater location beforehand, but I think that is something people should be proactive and look into before going to these special screenings. I know I did.
Not sure you can, Coyote. I think the name has to match pass and ID... read your email and check.
Hmmm... Gonna give my tix away...
Yes, Yes it is. At noon.
