I thought it wasn't bad. Having been a fan of the original comics (and later graphic novel), I had fond memories of Watchmen. Yes, it was visually translated from the source material, but I can't wait for the director's cut DVD later. 3 out of 4 stars.
Yeah, the DVD is going to have an additional 49 mins of material put back in, but I think I'm going to hold on my review until after I finish the Watchmen motion comic :) very very cool by the way! I hope more comics do this in the future as its definitely awesome! I just wish they had a female speaker for the female parts.

Rating: B+ (tentative)
Race To Witch Mountain

I was very excited to see this movie as it was one of my favs when I was younger! The story and special effects were pretty interesting and entertaining to consume the time of the movie. I suspect that Disney will some how crank out another sequel with how they setup things in the end. I just hope Dwayne Johnson can escape the clutches of Disney acting and return to his action movie roots as we need a witty smart/bad ass back in action cinema!

Knowing

This was an interesting film that was enjoyable, but had some minor gripes with. Nicholas Cage isn't all too convincing as a dad...I'm surprised his kid didn't run the house with as drunk as he always was...and no hangovers...ever! Also, to think all the global disasters of the world for 5 decades fit on just the front and back on a single sheet of paper? I love the ending!!!!

Rating: B
Monsters vs Aliens

Not bad, the storyline was actually better than what I thought it would be, but I couldn't help but think how boring this movie would have been without Bob The Blob (Seth Rogan). The CG was excellent and has some jaw dropping moments where the realism shines, but the hyper expressive eyes kinda spooked me sometimes...

Observe And Report

This was actually pretty funny! I was doing really good with this film until the very end. The gun at the end was very over the top and this film joins the ever growing trend of penis display. I can only imagine how insane Bruno will be.

Rating: B
Sin Nombre

This film totally surprised me and was an interesting insight of the gangs of mexico and the border crossings. Great film that tries for the that Slumdog vibe (I suspect a bunch will come)

Rating: B+
Fighting

This was a decent film with some decent humor in it. The fights were kinda ok, nothing too exciting, but the humor kept it from getting very stale.

Rating: B-
The Proposal

Not a bad movie to go to for a good laugh. It follows the romantic comedy formula with great one liners, transparent plot line, and charismatic actors/actresses. I think that Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock made an odd, but good pairing for this movie. Overall B or so...
Ghosts of Girlfriend's Past

Less than average (C-) :(. I was hoping to see something with more comedy, but was sorely disappointed. If I had to choose between this movie and The Proposal I would choose the latter.
UP! (3D Disney) B+

I was surprised by Pixar again! Great animation, wonderful characters, and VERY fun and funny movie. Definitely one for the family to see. Maybe it is just me, but it seems like in Wall-E and UP! Pixar was trying minimize dialogue, and focus on great timing/delivery of lines. In any case I thought this was one of the better Pixar films I have seen. I was not immersed in the 3D as much as I had hoped for, but I may have expected too much :). I would have been just as happy seeing in a traditional format. Enjoy this one as it won't disappoint!
