For Greater Glory (review)

This movie is a glimpse into a small slice of Mexico’s history called the Cristero War (that happened between 1926 and 1929). The newly formed Mexican government, led by President Callas, took a hard line against Catholics in the country. They especially wanted to crack down on the ‘foreign’ national influences (from Rome), so they began to kick out all non-Mexican bishops and priests.
