Text message invites to special advance movie screenings

My family and I would love to go see movies from gofobo, but tickets are never available. So sad for us and other families that would love to see movies that are sponsored by gofobo.

Kurt W., I see movies free from Gofobo, and it takes a bit of work to get the invites. Some are contest and others are from sponsors  affiliated with Gofobo, ie: local radio or TV stations that you need to register with to find out how to get invited or when to inter the contest. Failing that you can Google ( free movies) and joint the sites you find there to increase the number of opportunities to see movies free. Some invites are on a first come bases. Monitor your mail and the movie site on a regular bases and you can get invited. It's free but it is also some work. Your choice, once you get one, you'll see what it takes. Good Luck.

Looking forward to seeing lots of movies this summer. Going to be maddening trying to get codes or insider info as I am new to this. Been lucky a few times..... here's hoping. Everyone I have met at the PDX events have been super!

Hi Kurt

I am sorry that you have not been lucky enough to snag passes from a gofobo screening. As one of the founders of tMC, I can assure you that gofobo is NOT a "scam".

It is true, passes do go to the swiftest. It may not always appear to be fair, but we are talking about free movies after all. Who doesn't want that? My point is gofobo and tMC passes are always in demand and available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

I wish you and your family better luck in the future and thank you for being a member of tMC.

You have to act FAST when you see a code for a movie you want to see. I've been planning for 2 months to get movie passes for Sex and the City 2 and was aced out before noon. I'm at work when passes come out so I have my laptop or cell phone to check from time to time. PLUS I live in a large market city - CHICAGO and I expect for passes to be sold out faster for more popular screenings. But in smaller markets like Indiana and smaller cities and towns, I get passes for out of town friends who I know will enjoy and I enjoy making them happy when I finds some available to give to friends in other cities.

I have gotten plenty of screenings for movies through Gofobo. Like Matt said below you have to have the codes, but also when the codes are listed you have to act fast, they run out really fast!

There are groups of people that spend a vast amount of time researching and looking for codes and they have friends that are notified and the codes are used up quite quickly especially if it is a popular movie. A few hints, on Fridays the Portland Orgonian might have codes posted to get passes in the Movie section. Also the Wilimatte Week on Wednesdays usually have a code if there is a screening. If the code is released at 6am in the paper you can bet by 8am or sooner they are used up. Some codes can have as many as 100 passes some have just 15 to 20...so it really is 1st come 1 serve and those that know how to play the game gets the passes. So it is not Gofobo, it is the people that know how and when the codes are posted.

fyi- we frequently have people that have extra passes they are not using and are willing to pass them on to you. Don't get frustrated...just learn how to play the game. The group here in the Portland group are a great bunch of people and they will help guide you to success.

its cause you need to find the rsvp codes. IT takes alot of research and time to find the codes. Free movies are free, but not easy. They are not just going to let anyone get the passes. Need to find the codes and take the time Kurt. You can always ask people on the site and they will help you get codes.
