So I was playing with my new Android phone last night and received an alert to update my google maps application.
Viola! There was a new layer (app) inserted into google maps.
It's called BUZZ. Think twitter but with pinpoint geographic information. Google's brief description of BUZZ is: Buzz is a new way to share updates, photos, videos and more, and start conversations about the things you find interesting.
My first BUZZ was:
"Wondering if this would be cool to let people know about free advance movie screenings in the valley."
Within minutes, I received a response from Joshua:
"I'm up for free screenings"
I then replied:
"Check out upcoming screenings in the Phoenix area at txtmovieclub.com. I'm the co-founder if you have any questions."
And a few moments later, Joshua joined tMC.
Rather amazing if you think about it. I love technology, especially when it's brand new. I'm addicted to discovering new and helpful tools like BUZZ. I can't predict if this service will take off, but it's hard to bet against google these days.
If you are interested in seeing this in action and perhaps BUZZING yourself, then visit buzz.google.com
Happy Buzzing!
