Text message invites to special advance movie screenings

So, as you all know I guess I'm a super fan of Twilight; maybe that's why they picked me to go to the screening. I don't know, I guess I'm just lucky. But I have read the books thoroughly numerous times, particularly Twilight.

ANYWAYS on to my review of the movie.

I thought as far as it being an adaptation of the book it was on-point. There were a couple major details that were switched around in the movie but they made it work and made it entertaining. The most important thing as a fan is to see that your favorite scenes in the book got put into the movie. That is what Summit and Catherine and the powers that be did. They took important scenes and switched them around a bit to make it work but still sticking to the plot line. So I give it an A for sticking to the plot because when it comes down to it if they want sequels making the fans happy enough to go out and see it five times was important.

The part I wasn't quite so fond of was the graphics. I knew almost immediately they were bad when in the really serious (I should be squealing with joy and fervor/falling out of my seat swooning) parts I was laughing. I'm sure that's not the kind of reaction I was supposed to have. The graphics in the movie were mediocre to say the least. It was solely to do with the fact Twilight cost a grand total of $37 million to make. I was not dazzled by the graphics. Here's to hoping if they make New Moon they can up the graphics for the wolves. So Twilight gets a C- on the graphics.

The acting. Yeah, Robert carried the movie and I was fairly surprised by Billy Burke who plays Charlie (Bella's father) he in the end turned out to be one of my favorite on screen characters. Kristen Stewart played the character well but at times it felt like she was mocking her lines in her delivery. Albeit some of her lines are super cheesy, they are the lines nonetheless and that is what she is getting paid to say.

The on screen chemistry was overall much darker in the movie than the book. The film shows a more tortured darker struggle in their relationship because the happy scenes in the book when they are getting to know each other and asking questions are just flashing scenes in the movie with no dialogue. The chemistry was exactly as been said 'amazing'.

And overall I give it a B+

It's funny how you describe it is exactly how I thought it would be, though I haven't seen it myself yet. Thank you for posting the review!

glad someone was able to see it....I stood in line with more than 200 tweens and although I was 75th in line I didn't even come close to being admitted. The PR rep explained that over 300 members of the press turned out for the screening. Unfortunately it was the only screening the Seattle. On the up side the rep for MILK allowed those of us who stuck around in for that screening and it was well worth the wait.

Thanks for the review Uh-lawn-Uh. I had heard the term "after school special" thrown around as regards to the special effects. I'm sure if it has a big opening, we'll see a much bigger production from the sequel. Glad you enjoyed it and hope you had good seats!
