Text message invites to special advance movie screenings

I will not start off with saying I have tried one of them. I am a avid user of both console systems I consider myself a tech geek to some small point, And a penny pincher maybe I tried the Kinect I am not to fond of it standing in Walmart with my wife of the 60- and Stapley for the PHX people they have the Kinect on hand to demo it. I only wish they had a Move for demo also. But I couldn't understand how hard it was just to calibrate this stupid thing maybe i'm doing something wrong? anyhow Has anyone reading this blog tried or is currently using these items whats your take on them. I'm holding out until Black Friday to pick up a PS3 MOVE I'm sure it will be on sale some place cheap. Please let me know thanks people.

Does anyone else realize the Move came out in 2005 with another console... Umm the Wii anyone? If you want an upgraded Wii, the Move is your perfect choice. And it plays just like the Wii too. If you want a unique expereince, albeit not perfect (neither is), select the Kinect.

Thanks Anthony and Soundwave for your thoughts on both systems.

I was an original Playstation guy until I was lucky enough to be 1 of 5,000 original Xbox live beta testers. I was sold on Xbox ever since. Don't get me wrong, I've played the PS3 and it rocks. I just wish I had time to play both, I would most likely pick up a PS3.

Looking forward to trying out the Kinect when I get home in December. From what I hear the voice recognition technology is rather advanced. Word is the military is looking to use it.

I think the Kinect technology is a beginning into what gaming will be. I won't go into surreal detail about this, but one can only imagine how games will be as this technology evolves.

I own a Move and tried a Kinect.

I will admit I'm a Sony Fan-Boy and consider Microsoft to be run by the devil.... but I'll try to be unbiased.

Kinect can be alot of fun..... because it's new. Remember when the Wii was all the rave? How many people even touch it now? It's brand new technology, sure you don't hold a controller, but it's still like the wii since you're just waving around getting tired and their isn't any precision to your movements. You know what involves you moving aroung but has real precision to it? Real daily activities, try it sometime.... Kinect games can only really be played standing up, it has a hard time detecting you otherwise. Since it functions by tracking your bone structure, many things can throw it off by being next to you or passing in front of you.

Sony Move can be expensive i'll be the first to admit. For a true awesome experience, each player should have 2 controllers (not necessary but I recommend it). The glowing controllers work in conjunction with the PSEye and the internal controller gyroscopes, so it can't lose you even if you were to spin or be blocked by someone. I don't know why you found the calibration so hard, my friends and I can do it in 3 seconds. The precion is above that of the Wii, and throw the camera into the mix and Sony gives developers an excellent tool for AR (Augmented Reality) which places your self in another world of the developers choosing... very cool if the dedication is there. One of my favorites is the "Gladiator Duel" which came free with the bundle. One controller is my sword, and I can actually believe it due to the weight in my hands. The other is my shield, and my friends have had a blast playing it because of how precise the character movements are to what I'm doing. Sony claims 1:1 precision, but if you REALLY pay attention, you'll notive a lag of about a millisecond, whereas the lag on the Kinect is VERy noticeable.

Have fun with your Lag on Kinect. PS move technology is years beyond a camera that looks like some 80's game show. PS3 for life!

I can't play games. :( Not just because of the seizures, but cuz I SUCK at games. I use the seizures as an excuse. Cuz, Mark, if I could play, I'd kick yer butt!!! Yeah! I would.

Played the Split-Screen Zombie mode last night for an hour or two. Barely scratched the surface, but so far so good. Going to dive in more this weekend.

Hi Tom

I just purchased an Xbox Kinect. Problem is I won't be back home in Phoenix to play with it until Thanksgiving.

The Move looks really cool as well. It would be interesting to compare the both. I promise to followup once I get a chance to use my Kinect.

In the menatime, COD Black Ops will have to do while on the road!
