Shutter Island

I will keep this short and sweet. Normally I have a hard time with these movie screenings because of people cutting in line, me getting there late and struggling to find a seat, and bored out of my mind waiting. However, the showing of Shutter Island last night had less drama than usual. I arrived at the perfect time to get a great spot for a good seat. Brought my book and Ipod this time. Seemed to make the time go by faster.

Anyway, Shutter Island was very slow to start but once it got into it, it became a huge mind screw where you as an audience member felt like you were falling apart and confused. The big reveal was awesome and if you pay attention to the little things throughout the movie, the twist was expected. The writers did such a great job of taking you off the scent of the bigger purpose.

I just may pay to see it again with my friends.
